Everton are considering a move for Oguzhan Ozyakup according to reports.

The Toffees have had an up-and-down campaign in the Premier League but they ended the season strongly with just two losses in the last ten games.
Marco Silva will look to strengthen his squad in the summer to achieve Everton’s ambitions of getting into the Europa League, but is Ozyakup the player they should be looking at?
The 26-year-old is an immensely talented midfielder capable of turning games on his own but he has been disappointing in the Super Lig over the last two seasons. Ozyakup has clearly been out of favour with the Black Eagles having started just 10 games in the league this campaign.
His form has dipped massively over the last two seasons having scored just once in 42 appearances in the Turkish top flight since the start of the 2017/18 campaign. A player who has been struggling in the Turkish league will surely not have it easy in a league as tough as the Premier League next season.

Everton should look at a proper number 8, who would be able to help Gylfi Sigurdsson in attack as well as drop back to help out the defence when needed. Ozyakup is simply not that player and his record over the last two campaigns should ring alarm bells in Silva’s head.
Everton already have a failure from the Turkish league in Cenk Tosun who has massively under-performed since his switch from Besiktas.
Signing Ozyakup would most likely end up the same way and Everton should not be making the same mistake again in the summer.
