Danny Simpson has been without a club since he left Leicester City in the summer but he could return to a Premier League club very soon.

The report says that Simpson trained with Scottish champions Celtic in the summer after he was released by Leicester City at the end of last season.
The 32-year-old spent five years at the King Power Stadium and was an integral part of their league-winning campaign back in 2016.
Simpson wants to remain in the Premier League according to the report, but he is also considering a move to America to a be part of Major League Soccer. With over 200 games of English top-flight experience, where he has won two league titles and a Champions League, any club would benefit from his services and Palace and Brighton could solve a key issue with his signing.
The Eagles lost Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United in the summer and they are yet to replace him. Joel Ward is the club’s only recognized senior right-back and signing Simpson would give the 29-year-old some much-needed competition this season.

Brighton, on the other hand, lost club legend Bruno at the end of last season but their right-back situation is not as bad as Palace’s. Former Barcelona full-back Martin Montoya is the undisputed first choice at the club, while Ezequiel Schelotto is still around after an underwhelming loan spell in Serie A with Chievo Verona.
Schelotto could still leave Brighton before the end of the European transfer window which would open up a spot for Simpson. The former Manchester United man would be a brilliant backup to Montoya and, for free, moving for him could be a no-brainer.
