Burnley boss Sean Dyche is reportedly preparing an offer to sign Chelsea’s Gary Cahill once he leaves Stamford Bridge in the summer.

The 33-year-old bid an emotional goodbye on Sunday to the place he called home for over seven years.
Cahill’s 21-minute cameo off the bench against Watford last weekend was his first appearance in the Premier League this season and it has been clear for a while that he is not in the plans of Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri.

Cahill will leave the Blues after playing over 280 games and winning both the Premier League and the Champions League during his time. The veteran will be available on a free transfer once his contract end in the summer and Burnley could get themselves a real hero if they manage to sign him.
Sean Dyche has shown that he has no problems in signing experienced players with the acquisition of Peter Crouch earlier this season. Cahill would almost certainly have a better impact than the former Liverpool forward and he could be the player who could help the Clarets regain their form of last season.
Sean Dyche will have a real leader who will come in with a winning mentality to Turf Moor if he manages to sign Gary Cahill in the summer.
