Arsenal’s Joe Willock has had a fine pre-season and his performances have reportedly attracted interest from one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

The report claims that Niko Kovac’s side are looking to bring in young English talents to the Allianz Arena this summer but have failed on their attempt to sign Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi earlier this year.
Willock, who has been in fine form this summer, has allegedly caught the eye of the Bundesliga heavyweights but a deal is unlikely to happen.
Willock was one of Arsenal’s standout performers in Arsenal’s recently concluded pre-season tour. The young central midfielder hugely impressed in games against Real Madrid as well as Bayern Munich in a game that the Gunners won 2-1.
The 19-year-old signed a long-term contract at the Emirates in November 2017 and recent performances will only push Arsenal to nail him down on an even bigger deal. Willock played six times for Arsenal last season and scored three goals, two of which came in a single game in the FA Cup.

With Unai Emery’s side facing another year in the competition, Willock can expect a ton of game time and if he can continue his impressive performances, he might even break into the Premier League team in the very near future.
Emery has shown that he isn’t afraid to throw his youngsters in the deep end as evident with Matteo Guendouzi who, despite being a teenager with very little senior experience, played 48 games in all competitions last season.
