Turkish Super Lig side Sivasspor have reportedly launched a bid to sign Atlanta United defender Luis Abram, who only joined the Five Stripes in February.
According to Turkish journalist Salim Manav, the Sivas-based club have made ‘an official offer’ for the Peruvian international, who since joining Atlanta earlier this year has played just 551 minutes in MLS.
Whilst Abram has started the last five games for Gonzalo Pineda’s side, a transfer offer from a European side could appeal to Atlanta, especially with the centre-back occupying an international spot that could be used elsewhere.

Aged 27, Abram is about the hit the peak of his defensive powers. And whilst there could be some motivation to keep the South American, Sivasspor’s interest could tempt the front office into making a major sale this summer.
Indeed, Atlanta are firmly in the marker for a wide-attacker with Fenerbahce star Diego Rossi a target for the MLS franchise, and selling Abram could be one way to make that transfer a reality in the coming days.
Moreover, a return to Europe could be appealing for Abram, with Sivasspor a club who have impressively finished in UEFA competition spots in two of the last four seasons.
Atlanta could be tempted to transfer Abram to Sivasspor

Atlanta’s goals conceded record might be one of the worst in MLS this season, but offloading Abram could to Sivasspor might be an appealing option for the Five Stripes if it meant immediate investment back into the team.
As we know, Atlanta are on the hunt for a wide attacker before the closure of the summer transfer window, and selling an international in Abram could be an incredibly appealing option for the Georgia side.
Moreover, a return to the continent via Turkey could be some Abram wants at this stage of his career, especially with the defender only now becoming a regular for Atlanta.
