Just minutes after Fabrizio Romano claimed on Twitter that Moussa Sissoko will leave Nuno’s Tottenham Hotspur for Watford, the announcement has been made by the two clubs.
The well-known and well-respected journalist reported that Watford have reached an agreement with Premier League rivals Tottenham over signing Sissoko.
Romano added that it was a done deal, and that the former Newcastle United star will leave Spurs in the coming hours.
Just minutes after Romano’s claim, both Tottenham and Watford announced the transfer on Twitter, as you can see below.

As you can see from Watford’s tweet above, former Spurs left-back Danny Rose and Sissoko were having a chat over WhatsApp about the Hornets.
At one point, Sissoko said: “I’m buzzing to be here!”
Sissoko has not always had the best of times at Spurs, but he is a very good and experienced footballer who is combative and can drive the team forward.

The Frenchman has scored 14 goals in 259 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
Sissoko would make Watford better and stronger in the middle of the park.
As for Tottenham, it is safe to say that the North London club are not going to exactly miss the Frenchman.
Tottenham head coach Nuno has good options in the middle of the park.
Spurs have started the season strongly, and Nuno will feel confident that he will not need Sissoko in the coming weeks and months.
