Tottenham supporters shared their thoughts on Marcel Sabitzer’s Champions League performance for RB Leipzig last night.
The German side suffered a 2-0 defeat against Jurgen Klopp’s men and Spurs fans were on watch to see some of the talent on show.
German outlet Bild did recently claim that Jose Mourinho still wants to bring Sabitzer to Tottenham in the summer.
That will be music to the ears for Tottenham fans because many of them are keen on him moving to North London.
It was a mixed night for Sabitzer against Liverpool, whose misplaced pass did lead to Mo Salah opening the scoring.
That was touched upon by Spurs supporters, as they joked that it’s preparing him to face Liverpool in the Premier League next season.
Nonetheless, during other parts of the game, some Tottenham fans were impressed with the all-round display the 26-year-old was showcasing on the European stage.
Given the combative nature to Tottenham’s midfield, there is no doubt that, along with Tanguy Ndombele and Pierre Emile-Hojbjerg, the RB Leipzig man would add that extra bite and attacking intent to their team.
Whether or not Spurs get the chance to secure his services remains to be seen.
