Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers will challenge Neil Lennon’s Celtic next season, says Sir Kenny Dalglish.

Celtic have won the domestic treble in Scotland for the past three seasons, and fans of the Glasgow giants will expect the same in 2019-20.
Former Celtic forward Dalglish has suggested that it is unrealistic to expect Neil Lennon’s side to clinch the Scottish Premiership title, the Scottish Cup and the Scottish League Cup next season.
The Celtic legend has also suggested that Rangers will give their bitter Old Firm rivals a run for their money.
Dalglish wrote in The Sunday Post: “The supporters are demanding success and some will even see doing another Treble in the new campaign as an absolute must. That may be a little unrealistic.
“They will face proper challenges from all around the country, and Rangers will be expected to take them all the way.
Steven Gerrard has already signed three new players and there will be two or three more coming in.”
Rangers challenge
Celtic are the best and strongest team in the Scottish Premiership at the moment, and one suspects that the Hoops will remain so next season as well.
Rangers, though, have progressed under manager Gerrard, and the Gers will be determined to give Celtic a run for their money all the way.
The Gers faded away after the mid-season winter break, but perhaps next season, Rangers will not.
