Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic lost to Valencia at Celtic Park last week.

Sir Kenny Dalglish has suggested in The Sunday Post that Celtic should not change their style.
The former Celtic and Liverpool forward made the comments following the Hoops’ 2-0 defeat to Valencia at Celtic Park in the first leg of the Europa League Round of 32 tie last Thursday evening.
Dalglish believes that manager Brendan Rodgers should not change his playing time, and he has also pointed out that the Glasgow giants do not have necessary personnel to play long balls.
“In the aftermath, I’ve heard some people suggest that Brendan Rodgers should mix it up a bit and play a long ball, looking for flick-ons,” Dalglish wrote in The Sunday Post. “But I can’t agree with that.
“For a start, Celtic do not have a big target man in their ranks. So, if you launch it long you are going to lose possession and be on the back foot.
“It’s better to stick to your beliefs and style of play, continue to trust in the way you work as a unit, day in day out in training.”

Second-leg hope?
Celtic play a possession-based game under manager Rodgers, and it does not make sense for the Hoops to change it now.
Moreover, Valencia are a massive club in Spain, and Los Che have far better players than Celtic do.
It is hard to see the Hoops launch a comeback in the second in Spain this week, but a draw or even a narrow defeat will not be a bad result for the Glasgow giants in terms of boosting their morale.
Celtic, though, are going strong in the Scottish Premiership and are favourites for the title.
