Sir Kenny Dalglish has written in The Sunday Post that Ryan Christie has been a revelation for Celtic.

The Liverpool and Celtic legend has been impressed with the performances of Christie in recent weeks.

The 23-year-old midfielder has played well for Brendan Rodgers’s side in the Scottish Premiership and in the Europa League in recent weeks.

According to Transfermarkt.com, Christie has scored two goals in eight Scottish Premiership appearances and has provided one assist in three Europa League matches for Celtic so far this season.

The Scotland international midfielder – who joined Celtic from Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the summer of 2015 for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Record to be worth £500,000 – recently signed a new contract with the Glasgow giants.

“He absolutely looked the part in last Thursday’s Europa League game, and it’s clear his confidence is sky-high.”

Going strong

Celtic have rediscovered their old form after making a disappointing start to the season and are back to his best.

The Glasgow giants are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment and could also progress to the knockout rounds of the Europa League this season.
