Rangers are aiming to feature in the group stage of the Europa League for the second season in a row.
As for Celtic, the Scottish Premiership champions are looking to book their place in the group stage of the Champions League.
The Hoops will take on CFR Cluj in the Champions League Qualifying Third Round, while the Gers will lock horns with FC Midtjylland in the Europa League Qualifying Third Round.
Celtic legend Dalglish believes that both Rangers and Celtic will progress to the next stage of their respective European competitions.
Dalglish wrote in The Sunday Post (print edition, Post Match, August 4, 2019): “An extremely tricky tie now awaits them against Danish side Midtjylland, but they will feel they’ll have enough quality to also see them off.
“Cluj appear to be making positive noises about their Champions League chances against Celtic, but I’ve always thought it’s wiser to do your talking on the park.
“Neil Lennon’s players appear to have a real determination and focus on making it through the qualifiers, and I’m confident that they’ll do the job over the two legs.”

Positive starts in Scotland
Both Celtic and Rangers were in action in the Scottish Premiership at the weekend, and both the Hoops and the Gers won their matches.
Celtic got the better of St. Johnstone 7-0 at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.
As for Rangers, the Gers got the better of Kilmarnock 2-1 away from home in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday afternoon.
