Legendary Manchester United manager predicts Leicester will pip Tottenham to win the title, with no mention of Arsenal.
Sir Alex Ferguson knows what it takes to win a Premier League title, lifting the trophy 13 times with Manchester United.
The Red Devils have not looked like competing for the trophy since he retired, and the league table has a very unfamiliar look to it this season as we head into April.
Leicester City are in first place, five points clear of Tottenham Hotspur, and 11 in front of Arsenal, who do have a game in hand.
Ferguson has been giving his thoughts on the season in an interview with SkySports, and has particular praise for both Leicester and Tottenham.
He says that he expects Leicester to go on and win the trophy, believing they have the momentum to do so.
In comments reported by The Sun, Ferguson said: “Leicester have the bit between their teeth, they’ve been the best team without question throughout the season and they deserve to win it.”
Despite this, he expects Tottenham to run them close, while ruling out a challenge from Arsenal.
He said: “I can only see Tottenham as being a danger to them, to be honest with you. I think Tottenham, at the moment, are playing some of the best football that I’ve seen from any Tottenham team for many, many years.
“But Leicester have got the edge and I think they have got that togetherness.”
