Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic will face Scottish Premiership rivals Aberdeen in the Scottish League Cup final this afternoon.
Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has suggested to The Scottish Sun that Aberdeen can win against Celtic this weekend.
Aberdeen will take on Celtic at Hampden Park in Glasgow in the final of the Scottish League Cup on Sunday afternoon.
Ferguson, who is one of the greatest managers of all time, has backed his former club to win against the Bhoys.
The former Rangers forward believes that Aberdeen can clinch the Scottish League Cup.

“Absolutely, I think they’ve got a great chance,” Ferguson told The Scottish Sun when asked if he thought that Aberdeen could get their hands on the trophy. “The best chance of overcoming Celtic at the moment is in a cup final, there’s no doubt about it.
“Celtic, I’ve been reading, haven’t lost a league goal for over 700 minutes. That’s a great record for historically an attacking club.
“Celtic can’t afford to be a defensive team, so maintaining that defensive record is very, very good. But the cup final is the best chance for Aberdeen, no question.”

Celtic will head into the Scottish League Cup final as favourites, as they have the better team and are in better form.
An early goal for Brendan Rodgers’s side could set the tone for the match, and it could then prove tough for Aberdeen.
However, this is a cup final and anything is possible, and Derek McInnes’s side will certainly fancy their chances.
If Aberdeen score first and then are able to defend well, then there is a very good chance that they will win the match at Hampden Park in Glasgow.
The Dons have won eight of their last 10 games, but one of the two defeats during that time was by Celtic, according to BBC Sport.
