Sir Alex Ferguson has raved about reported Leeds United target Sergio Aguero on Ladbible.

The former Manchester United manager has said that Aguero has been exceptional for Manchester City in the Premier League.

Ferguson has added that the 32-year-old Argentina international striker is terrific.

The Daily Star reported earlier this month that Leeds are among the clubs who want to sign Aguero on a free transfer this summer.

However, The Guardian has claimed that Aguero has agreed to join Barcelona on a two-year contract after his current deal at City runs out this summer.

Ferguson said on Ladbible: “Aguero has been a terrific striker, there’s no doubt about that. His goalscoring has been exceptional.”

Aguero is a world-class striker, and his record speaks for itself.

The former Atletico Madrid star has scored 182 goals in 274 Premier League appearances for City.

The Argentine may have had injury problems this season and has not played much, but he remains a quality striker.

The striker would have made Leeds even more potent in attack, and there is no surprise that the Whites reportedly want him.

However, it appears that Aguero is on his way to Barcelona to play with his Argentina international teammate Lionel Messi.
