Pep Guardiola has given his take on Tottenham Hotspur on Manchester City’s official Twitter page ahead of the match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Tottenham will take on City at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Guardiola and Mourinho are old rivals, having worked together at Barcelona before locking horns in Spain when the former was in charge of Barca and the latter was the Real Madrid manager.
The Spaniard and the Portuguese renewed their rivalry in England after the latter was appointed the Manchester United boss.
Ahead of the match between Tottenham and City, Guardiola has raved about the North London club and has praised the work done by Mourinho’s predecessor, Mauricio Pochettino.
Guardiola told City’s official Twitter page: “Spurs dropped points against West Ham and Newcastle in the last minute, imagine the points if they hadn’t. The quality was always there. They qualified for the UCL for four or five years and reached the UCL final. They have been a good team since Pochettino took over.”
Big game on Saturday
Tottenham are just a point behind leaders Leicester City and will fancy their chances of winning against City.
The North London club are playing well, and Mourinho has been able to get his message across to the players regarding what he wants from them.
Spurs are playing attacking football and are scoring goals, but perhaps against City this weekend, they will be a bit more conservative.
