Speaking on his YouTube channel, Alasdair Gold has been discussing Bryan Gil amid rumours he could be on his way out of Tottenham this summer.

The Spaniard is being linked with a move to Valencia on loan, and Gold says that the winger has a number of admirers over in Spain.

Indeed, the journalist says that top Spanish scouts believe that Gil has the potential to be one of the best young players in the world.

What’s been said?

Gold shared what he knows about how highly-rated Gil is.

“Conte said he’s not physically ready for the Premier League, but on the flipside I think if Gil was to stick around he’d be in this squad and it would develop him. I think, and I’m not alone in this, a lot of top scouts in Spain think that he’s going to be one of the best young players around. A Barcelona scout, he said that he thought he was the most talented player he’s seen in a match since Neymar,” Gold said.

Got the talent

Bryan Gil has the talent needed to be an absolute superstar, there’s never been any doubt about that.

He was excellent in pre-season for Spurs and his technical ability simply can’t be questioned.

However, as Gold says, there are reservations about his physicality, and that can be a massive stumbling block in England.

Some of the most talented players in modern history have struggled to make it in England due to their lack of physicality, just look at the likes of Angel Di Maria, Juan Sebastian Veron and Robinho as examples of that phenomenon.

Gil may need to bulk up if he’s going to make it in the Premier League, but one thing is for sure, the potential is there with this young man.
