Everton have made an inauspicious start to what promised to be an exciting season.

Ronald Koeman, Manager of Everton looks on ahead of the Premier League match between Brighton and Hove Albion and Everton at Amex Stadium on October 15, 2017 in Brighton, England.

With just two wins from their opening eight Premier League matches Ronald Koeman finds himself under pressure at Everton.

The Toffees sit 16th in the table ahead of Sunday’s tussle with Arsenal at Goodison Park and sit bottom of their Europa League group ahead of a double header against Lyon over the next fortnight.

Koeman does not seem to know his best side after an unprecedented spending spree in the summer which has brought increased expectations.

Some players simply are not good enough to help the Toffees reach those expectations and here are three players Koeman should ditch first in the winter window, if he is still in a job by then.

Whether he is good enough or not is open to debate as plenty of Everton fans have a lot of time for Kevin Mirallas.

But three appearances all season tells its own story and there would be no shortage of takers should Koeman want to shake-up his options.

The likes of West Ham were interested during the summer and given their own struggles that is a move which could be reignited come January.

Oumar Niasse

Two goals to help seal a win over Bournemouth looked to have been a remarkable turnaround in Niasse’s Everton career after being frozen out by Koeman on his arrival from Southampton.

Niasse cost the Toffees £13.5million and it is unlikely they would get anything like that for him now.

But his brace against the Cherries showed he can operate in the top flight and the likes of Crystal Palace were interested in the summer. Koeman should offload the Senegalese to make room for the striker he coveted but failed to get before the summer window closed.

The Wales international has looked past his best this season and for much of the last campaign too.

At fault for goals in both Everton blue and Wales red, Williams has faced questions over his ability to operate in the increasingly competitive Premier League.

At 33 he is not getting any younger and with teams desperate in January he could attract interest from struggling Premier League rivals and Championship clubs chasing promotion.
