Some Chelsea fans have praised Jorginho on Twitter for his performance on Saturday, amid speculation that Arsenal are interested in him.
Sky Sports reported on September 25 that Arsenal are looking at Chelsea midfielder Jorginho as a potential alternative to Atletico Madrid defensive midfielder Thomas Partey.
The 28-year-old midfielder was in action for Chelsea in their Premier League game against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge in London on Saturday afternoon.
The Italy international played well in the middle of the park and also scored twice for Frank Lampard’s side, both from the penalty spot.
According to WhoScored, the former Napoli star took three shots, played two key passes, had a pass accuracy of 91.9%, won one header, took 93 touches, attempted one dribble, made one tackle and three interceptions, and put in one cross.
So far this season, the 28-year-old has scored three goals and provided one assist in three Premier League matches for Chelsea, while during the 2019-20 campaign, the Italian scored four goals and provided two assists in 31 league games, according to WhoScored.
