Dietmar Hamann has criticised Liverpool assistant manager Pepijn Lijnders on Twitter.
The former Liverpool midfielder has said that Lijnders should not have written a book about the Reds while still at the club.
The pundit seems to suggest that the Dutchman’s book has educated other managers and coaches about Liverpool’s inner workings, claiming that it has had no benefit whatsoever for the Reds.
Liverpool are not having the best of seasons at the moment.
The Merseyside club are not in the Premier League title race and may not even end up in the top four this seasoon.
As reported talkSPORT, Liverpool assistant manager Lijnders released a book titled ‘Pep Lijnders: Intensity – Inside Liverpool FC’ about the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners’ success in the 2021-22 campaign.
The book was reportedly backed by Liverpool themselves.
So, Liverpool did not have any problem with the book, which features, according to talkSPORT, ‘behind-the-scenes information and anecdotes’.
What is interesting is see is that the 39-year-old is the number two at Liverpool, and some, like Hamann, will feel that rival managers are working out the Reds based on the information in the book.
Now, that may or may not be the case.
