The Italian international has struggled to settle at the Premier League side.
West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic speaks with Simone Zaza
The father of West Ham loanee Simone Zaza has intimated that his son would be interested in a move to Napoli should the club make a move for the player.
Antonio Zaza, who also works as the West Ham loanee’s agent, has told Corriere dello Sport, as translated by Football Italia, this regarding interest from Napoli:
“Napoli is Napoli. If they called, I would listen.
West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic speaks with Simone Zaza
“The contract is dependent on the games that Simone plays.
“He must accumulate 14 appearances in order for the deal to become permanent, and up to now he has played nine.
“So far he has not been contacted by any club, but if someone seeks me out, of course I would listen.
“I am available to all, but especially to Napoli.”
Poland’s Arkadiusz Milik in action
It has been reported this week that Napoli are keen to sign Zaza in the winter as a replacement for the Polish striker Arkadiusz Milik, who suffered a serious knee injury last month.
Zaza is currently on loan at West Ham and, as his father states, is five games away from making the move permanent from Juventus.
However, he has struggled to adapt to life in the English Premier League and has yet to score for the club in a series of uninspiring performances.
West Ham United’s Simone Zaza looks dejected
Napoli are clearly on the hunt for a new front-man and it appears that Zaza is on that shortlist.
West Ham fans are unlikely to want to see the club splash out on Zaza and if Napoli are keen, many are probably hopeful he ends up at the Partenopei.
