The striker has flopped at the London Stadium.
Simone Zaza’s time at West Ham United appears to be over and his agent and father has confirmed as such today – whilst also discussing his plans for the future.
His father Antonio Zaza is quoted as telling Corriere dello Sport that his time at West Ham is over and that he would be very happy with a move to Valencia:
“The adventure of Simone at West Ham is finished and we are considering different situations for his future. We deal with Valencia, but it is not the only concrete situation we are considering. Clearly my son would love to be coached by a great coach that is Cesare Prandelli.”
West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic speaks with Simone Zaza
He also went on to make it clear that he could still return to Serie A – but that playing for his current parent club Juventus was not on the agenda:
“But it is possible that Simone could return to play in Serie A. We are not considering the possibility of a return to Juventus, from this point of view we are far, very far indeed.”
Zaza was signed on loan by West Ham from Juventus in the summer, after the club missed out on several other striking targets.
West Ham United’s Simone Zaza looks dejected
The 25-year-old has featured in 12 games for West Ham this season but has not managed to score a single goal for the club in those appearances.
He has also been linked with a move for Napoli but one thing that is now abundantly clear, West Ham fans will not see Zaza playing for the club again.
After his form this season, it is doubtful a tear will be shed.
