Leeds United are going strong in the Championship at the moment.
Simon Walton said on The Noel Whelan Show on BBC Radio Leeds (broadcast from 6pm, November 11, 2016) that Leeds United should target promotion to the Premier League.
Leeds have not featured in the Premier League since 2004 and have become also-rans in the Championship over the years.
The West Yorkshire outfit, though, are doing well at the moment and are genuine contenders for the playoffs.

The Whites are sixth in the league table at the moment with 26 points from 16 matches.
Former Leeds midfielder Walton believes that realistically Garry Monk’s side can get promoted, but the 29-year-old has suggested that that should not be the expectation.
“I wouldn’t say expect, but I think promotion or the playoffs is certainly a realistic target,” said Walton on The Noel Whelan Show on BBC Radio Leeds (broadcast from 6pm, November 11, 2016) when asked what Leeds’s realistic ambition and expectations should be this season.
“I am not sure the expectation should be to go up because when you look at money and players, there are teams in this league, you think, okay.”

Leeds have a good squad, but there are a number of teams who are better than the Whites.
A top-two finish in the Championship this season is not feasible, but a playoff spot is certainly not beyond the Whites.
The West Yorkshire outfit will return to action this coming Sunday when they take on current league leaders Newcastle United at Elland Road in the Championship.
