The Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur players came together with Janssen coming off far worse.
Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has taken to Twitter to apologise for the clash with Tottenham Hotspur’s Vincent Janssen that reportedly left the striker suffering memory loss for the proceeding 20 minutes.
The Mirror reports that was the effect of the coming together of the two players as they challenged for the ball during Belgium’s international with the Netherlands, and Mignolet has been quick to express his regret.

Taking to social media, the Liverpool stopper wrote, “Wishing Vincent Janssen well after our collision. (I) would never intentionally hurt a fellow player, but sometimes accidents happen.”
The striker has struggled for goals since his move to Tottenham in the summer, and the absence of Harry Kane through injury has only increased the pressure on the 22-year-old.

Now Kane is back in contention, but it could be Janssen who is set for a spell on the side-lines after he suffered concussion on Wednesday evening.
Next up for Tottenham is a home match against West Ham United on 19 November and Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino will not want any more injury setbacks in what remains of the current international break.
