Simon Jordan has admitted that he was wrong about Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder James Maddison.

The former Crystal Palace chairman was impressed by how Maddison played for Tottenham against Everton last weekend.

So, what has Simon Jordan said about Tottenham Hotspur playmaker James Maddison? Let’s take a look.

Simon Jordan changes his opinion on Tottenham Hotspur star James Maddison

Well, Tottenham Hotspur played out a 2-2 draw with Everton away from home at Goodison Park in the Premier League last weekend.

England international playmaker James Maddison provided one of the assists. The 27-year-old is only just starting to return from a spell on the sidelines and is starting to find his rhythm.

Former Crystal Palace chairman and talkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan has said that he was not a fan of Maddison, but he is changing his tune now.

Jordan said on talkSPORT (12:11 pm, February 10, 2024): “Maddison, I thought he was a bit of a jackdash, some of the things he said last season when he was at Leicester.”

Arsenal legend Martin Keown noted: “See, you can be wrong, can’t you?”

Jordan responded: “Totally. Danny Murphy has been nagging at me for ages and forever that he is a talent. I watched him last weekend, and some of the quality on the ball that he has is at a different level.”

My View: James Maddison is a key player for Tottenham

In my opinion, James Maddison is one of the best and most important players for Tottenham Hotspur.

Maddison was playing well for Spurs before his injury, and he has done well since his comeback.

Tottenham are in the running for a top-four finish in the Premier League table and could perhaps even challenge for the title.

In my view, Maddison will play a big role in that quest. The playmaker has scored three goals and given six assists in 13 Premier League matches for Tottenham this season.

Spurs will take on Brighton and Hove Albion at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
