Everton have completed the £50million signing of Richarlison from Watford.

Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has told TalkSport that Everton’s huge £50million fee for Richarlison is justifiable, after comparing the move to Tottenham Hotspur’s reported £40million interest in Jack Grealish.
Everton agreed a move for Richarlison that has seen the Brazilian agree a five-year deal at Goodison Park, which has caused unrest on social media – with Everton fans and others claiming that The Toffees have overpaid.
The Sun reported last month that Spurs were interested in Aston Villa’s Grealish, but are way below the Championship club’s £40million valuation of the England youth international.
Jordan, who owned Palace for a decade between 2000 and 2010, claimed that Richarlison’s fee makes sense if compared to Grealish £40m price tag, as clubs begin to up their price with three weeks remaining in the window.
“Now, this situation is… the headlines will be £50m,” Jordan said, on Richarlison’s move. “So let’s talk about the reality of it. Jack Grealish is being touted at £30-40m.
“Eighteen months ago this player was a problem, his performances were at a low level and he’s played Championship football for two years. So this [Richarlison] transfer fee is not as outlandish as we think it is in today’s market place.”

Richarlison only scored five Premier League goals last season, but Everton boss Marco Silva has decided to spend big on the Brazilian, forming a reunion with the exciting attacker after first signing him from Fluminense at Watford.
Spurs on the other hand are yet to complete a signing this summer, with chairman Daniel Levy coming under increasing pressure from fans to get busy in the transfer market before the window slams shut on August 9.
