Tottenham Hotspur loanee Cameron Carter-Vickers isn’t enjoying a successful spell at Championship side Stoke City.

Simon Jordan has criticised Tottenham’s Cameron Carter-Vickers for his ‘ludicrous’ challenge in the penalty area during Stoke City’s 2-0 defeat to West Brom on Monday night.
The former Crystal Palace owner also claimed that it’s his ‘understanding’ that there’s ‘a lot of disarray’ at the Stoke City’s training ground, as the Staffordshire-based club currently sit bottom of the Championship table.
Despite having one of the most expensive squads in the second-tier of English football, which includes having players like Sam Vokes, Joe Allen and Tottenham’s Carter-Vickers, the club is the worst team in the division, at this moment in time.
Speaking to Jim White on TalkSport (05/11/19 at 10:10 am), former Premier League owner, Jordan shared his thoughts on Stoke’s demise and the challenge from the Tottenham loanee.
“It doesn’t make a lot of sense because if you look at the management structure at Stoke,” Jordan told TalkSport. “Peter Coates has been there forever and a day. He’s very committed, very wealthy and doesn’t seem to be disillusioned with the club despite the fact that they are bottom of the Championship.
“There doesn’t seem to be any disarray at the top of the club. But my understanding is that there seems to be a hell of a lot of disarray at the training ground. Disenfranchised players. Disillusioned players. Demoralised players and that adds to the situation where you are bottom of the league. This looks like a club that’s in free for all and for no real reason.
“If you look at that challenge by Cameron Carter-Vickers. Look at that challenge that gave away the penalty for the second goal. It’s just ludicrous. It shows that there’s no discipline. There’s no focus. There’s no responsibility. That was a challenge you wouldn’t make anywhere on the pitch, let alone in the 18-yard box. Cleaned out their forward.”

The Stoke City situation isn’t an ideal one for Carter-Vickers, who initially moved to the club from Spurs in order to prove he can play at a higher level and help the club earn promotion to the Premier League. But that has turned on its head, big time.
Carter-Vickers hasn’t showcased his real qualities, and with the way things are going, his only hope, at this moment in time, is that Stoke don’t end up dropping down to the third-tier.
Unless you produce outstanding performances, any player suffering relegation takes a hit, and that is something that Carter-Vickers will not want to experience.
