Tottenham Hotspur suffered another disappointing result this past weekend.
Simon Jordan has questioned the collective mentality among Tottenham Hotspur players following Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Watford.
Spurs’ season almost got a lot worse as their city rivals looked minutes away from picking up a shock win in North London.
But Dele Alli scored a late equaliser to alleviate some pressure on Mauricio Pochettino, whose side had conceded 10 goals in two games prior to Saturday’s visit of the Hornets.
Still, former Crystal Palace owner Jordan doesn’t believe that the Tottenham lads are reading from the same hymn sheet, and saw one perfect example of it during the game.
He told talkSPORT: “I just think Spurs are going through a difficult patch.
“What I was surprised with yesterday was there was one particular incident when Harry Winks and Dele Alli standing there looking at one another while a Watford player stole in. Those players minds don’t seem to be focused on being on the front foot.”
Considering Watford could and definitely should have had a first-half penalty after going 1-0 ahead, you could argue that snatching a late point simply papered over the cracks from a Tottenham perspective.
There are still big, big problems in North London and until Pochettino identifies them and fixes them, it’s very difficult to see how their season is going to get better.
