Simon Jordan knows a thing or two about hiring and firing managers and he has not held back with his opinion on the latest goings on at Everton.

Everton supporters were demanding change this summer after a topsy turvy season under Ronald Koeman and then Sam Allardyce and they got it on Wednesday when the latter was sacked after six months in the job.

The former England boss did the job of lifting the Toffees out of the relegation zone and into eighth.

But supporters quickly grew fed up of the style of football on display at Goodison Park and Allardyce was under intense pressure to keep his job, particularly after the now infamous supporter survey faux pas.

With Big Sam gone Everton are being linked with a host of names to replace him at Goodison Park.

But the favourite is former Watford and Hull City manager Marco Silva, as reported by the likes of The Guardian.

Marco Silva, Manager of Watford gives his team instructions during the Premier League match between Everton and Watford at Goodison Park on November 5, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

Silva was linked with the Toffees when Koeman was sacked but they were forced to look elsewhere when their pursuit of the then Watford boss prompted a complaint to the authorities.

Silva has been out of work since and looks set to finally take over at Goodison Park while board member Keith Harris is poised to become the Blues’ Deputy-Chairman when Jon Woods’ shares are transferred to Farhad Moshiri.

And that has not gone down well with former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan – who once famously served Iain Dowie with a writ after he left Palace to join Charlton – who savaged Silva, Harris and Everton over the potential double appointment.

“Football is great Marco Silva’s reward for failing at the business end of the season with Hull City and being a typical disingenuous, disloyal slob at Watford is to get a big job at Everton,” Jordan said on Twitter.

“Maybe they will reap what they sow.

“Wow Everton have just employed Keith Harris as deputy chairman, he is the biggest myth in football never done a deal in his life.”
