Simon Jordan reacts to claims ‘incredibly talented’ player training at Tottenham

Simon Jordan has claimed that Danny Rose is a ‘difficult person to deal with’ as he trains at Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

The 32-year-old is still contracted with Watford, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, but it seems as though they are happy for him to train with Spurs.

Last summer, Rose’s contract in north London expired, but he didn’t play for the club during his last 12 months after a falling out with Jose Mourinho and Daniel Levy – before that, his career was stumbling towards the back end of Mauricio Pochettino’s reign.

Nonetheless, his next move landed him on the doorstep of then newly-promoted Watford, but they ended up booting him out of their Premier League squad altogether for the second half of the season and he didn’t play again after December.

Former Crystal Palace owner Jordan called Rose an ‘incredibly talented footballer’ and added how Watford must have ‘very little’ interest in him that they are allowing him to train with his former side, as he told talkSPORT.

“I think Danny Rose is a difficult person to deal with from my perception,” said Jordan. “What Watford are allowing him to do or what they aren’t allowing him to do is probably because their interest level is probably very little.

“He’s an incredibly talented footballer that seems to have his own challenges. If his talent were to come to the surface, rather than his perception of how the world treats him, then maybe he would still be playing at the top level.

ROSE’S CAREER ENDING IN AN ABJECT FASHION

It wasn’t so long ago that Rose was considered one of the best left-backs in the country and he was a regular for England.

At the age of 32, his old mate Kyle Walker is still going strong in Manchester City colours, but the difference in where they are in their careers now is pretty massive.

Rose is currently being allowed to train with another team whilst being on the books of a Championship side, Watford clearly don’t fancy playing him going forward.

So, if the former Spurs man is struggling to get into a team in England’s second division, then it has to be questioned, what is his level now?

As mentioned above, it’s a stark difference to Walker, who is still one of the best fullbacks in the world and pushing to win Premier League title number five next season.
