Simon Jordan has made it clear to Jim White on TalkSport (21/09/20 at 12:00 pm) that there is ‘no evidence’ to suggest that Dele Alli will leave Tottenham for PSG.
After being subbed off at half-time during Tottenham’s opening day Premier League defeat to Everton, rumours have started to emerge about Alli’s future in North London.
The Telegraph have claimed that Ligue 1 champions PSG are keen on securing the talents of the England international, whose form has fallen off a cliff in recent years.
Former Crystal Palace owner Jordan suggested that there’s this ‘medium narrative’ that Alli could leave Spurs when it’s far from the truth, as he commented on his situation.
“I have mixed emotions towards it,” Jordan told TalkSport. “I think Dele Alli was pumped up to a level he probably wasn’t at and we might be seeing more where his real level is.
“But on the flip side of the argument, I had people like Gordon Strachan that waxed-lyrical about what a brilliant player he is and how he’s the best number 10 he has seen for a very long time.

“I don’t think Dele Alli should be going out of the door at Tottenham because it fits a medium narrative. I think he should be getting himself into the mould.
Jim White then interprets Jordan and asks him what he meanss by it ‘fits a medium narrative’ to which he responded:
“We are building up the idea that he’s going to go to PSG. There is nothing, no evidence whatsoever that he’s going to go to PSG. He’s a mile away from being in PSG’s team and a mile away from a transfer there.”

Given the type of individual Daniel Levy is there’s no way he would allow a player like Alli to leave the club on a permanent basis unless he receives some big dough for his services.
Then it has to be questioned who would pay such a big fee for a player who has been bang out of form for two seasons now and has lost his place on the international stage too.
That doesn’t rule out a potential loan move, but given Tottenham’s thin squad and the number of games they are set to play, it’s surely better that he stays put.
