Speaking to Talksport on Monday evening (21/8) at 7pm, Jordan stated that he regards Leeds as a bigger club than Burnley and expects the New Zealand international to struggle to replicate his Championship success in the Premier League.

Jordan said: “I watched this boy a few times last year in very good Leeds side, until they choked at the end of the season.

“Leeds is a far bigger club than Burnley, but they aren’t in the Premier League and Burnley are.

“Sean Dyche has come of age, I think Sean’s has probably been influential in Chris Wood’s decision, who is not a young player at 25.

“It’s an interesting signing. to replicate what he did at Leeds, he could struggle.”

Wood netted 27 goals last season to finish as the Championship’s top goalscorer. Three goals in the cups took his total tally to 30.

Leeds were desperate to hang onto the striker, but they felt unable to turn down the sizeable fee on offer from the Lancashire side.

Now the race is on to sign a replacement, while Wood will be hoping to star at Wembley against Tottenham in the Premier League this weekend.
