Simon Jordan believes there is a real chance for Lee Bowyer to become the new Leeds United boss this summer.
The Whites are set to appoint Sam Allardyce as a replacement for Javi Gracia.
This is an astonishing turn of events for Leeds, who only appointed Gracia back in February.
Allardyce is now coming in for the final four games in a desperate attempt to keep Leeds in the Premier League.
Leeds did though look at other options with former Whites midfielder Lee Bowyer one of them.
The Daily Mail claimed earlier this week that Bowyer has been talked about as a potential short-term appointment for Leeds.
Bowyer was a Leeds star in his playing days, shining as a goalscoring midfielder at Elland Road.
As a manager, Bowyer has been out of work since leaving Birmingham City at the need of last season.

Simon Jordan comments on Lee Bowyer to Leeds United
Bowyer would no doubt love a return to management – especially with Leeds.
Not only does Bowyer have a personal connection to the Whites from his playing days, but he would also jump at a Premier League chance.
Bowyer went on TalkSPORT on Tuesday to talk about Leeds and the prospect of him still taking charge has been talked up.
Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan suggested on TalkSPORT that ‘you wouldn’t be surprised’ to see Bowyer managing Leeds next season.
Jordan noted that Bowyer could feasibly go into Leeds to work with Allardyce until the summer, although that job looks set to go to Karl Robinson.
If a deal for Robinson collapses, maybe Bowyer would be a smart alternative for Allardyce.
Jordan thinks Bowyer could be a ‘potential play’ for the Leeds job this summer but did note that any move for him would depend on the club’s ownership moving forward.
“You wouldn’t be surprised, would you? You could see a metric where, perhaps, Lee Bowyer – if he is going in with Sam Allardyce – comes out the other side as the manager of Leeds United. You can see that potential play.”
“Of course, there’s many twists and there’s many permutations of what Leeds United could look like. It could look like still being owned by Andrea Radrizzani, it could be owned by the Americans, it could be something completely different based upon what division they’re in.”
“Lee has done okay, did a great job at Charlton and obviously Birmingham was a more difficult task,” he added.
