Eddie Nketiah is proving himself a big hit at Leeds United.
Simon Jordan has told talkSPORT that Eddie Nketiah made the right decision in joining Leeds United.
The Championship side signed Nketiah on a season-long loan from Arsenal.
The 20-year-old striker is one of the Gunners’ most exciting young players and it was a touch surprising to see him drop down to England’s second tier.
But the England Under-21 hitman is proving a big hit at Elland Road and scored the winner in a 1-0 victory against Brentford last month, enhancing his reputation among the United supporters.
A certain Harry Kane also dropped down to the Championship once upon a time, having had loan spells with Leicester City and Millwall before becoming one of the world’s most prolific marksmen.
And former Crystal Palace owner Jordan believes that’s enough evidence to justify Nketiah’s decision.
Asked on The Jim White Show whether it was a good move for him, Jordan said on talkSPORT: “Massively. Not just because he’s playing under an elite manager, but because he’s got a blueprint to follow.
“The current England captain [Harry Kane], went down the leagues, learned his craft and is now England captain, so I think it’s entirely the right thing to do.”
The Arsenal prospect, who has three goals in two starts across all competitions, is likely to be on the bench this weekend when Marcelo Bielsa’s side visit Barnsley.
Leeds are third in the Championship.
