Sunderland were beaten 5-2 by Ipswich Town in Championship action last night.

Sunderland were beaten 5-2 by Ipswich Town yesterday, in what was a humiliating defeat.
And Grayson says that one young player took it upon himself to point out Sunderland’s deficiencies after the match.
“I went in the dressing room [after the game] and you hear a 22-year-old saying ‘we’re soft as…’,” Grayson revealed.

“And he’s right. We’re too easy to play against and we have to make sure the opposition don’t get an easy ride – have we had an easy ride against anyone this year, no because they stop you from playing and do the ugly side of the game.
“We need to learn from that and do 100% better.”
Sunderland collapsed against Ipswich yesterday, in what was an embarrassing result for the Wearsiders.
The Tractor Boys took the lead early on, but Sunderland did at least manage to hit back that time, when Aiden McGeady got on the scoresheet.

However, it was to little avail, as Sunderland’s poor run of results continued.
Ipswich added further goals through Jordan Spence, Bersant Celina, David McGoldrick and Grant Ward to wrap up a comprehensive victory.
Sunderland are now in 22nd place in the Championship table, and have just one league victory to their name all season.
