Jamie Shackleton played well for Leeds United against Derby County.
Shackleton, who can operate as a midfielder or as a wing-back, was in action for Leeds in the first leg of their Championship semi-final first-leg tie against Derby away from home at the Pride Park Stadium.
The 19-year-old did not start the match, but the talented and promising teenager came on as a substitute for Adam Forshaw in the 24th minute.
Former Leeds manager Grayson was impressed with the display produced by Shackleton, and has praised him.
Grayson also hailed Marcelo Bielsa’s side for the win, but he did suggest that the head coach will be disappointed that the Whites did not score two or three goals.
Grayson said on BBC Radio Leeds: “I thought it was a real good professional performance. If anything, I think Marcelo Bielsa will be a little bit disappointed that they didn’t punish them a little bit more, got a second or third goal.”
Grayson added about Shackleton: “I think that it was a blessing in disguise for Leeds because the kid has got energy, he has got pace, especially away from home where Derby weren’t going to be sitting back.”
The former Leeds boss continued: “He broke forward so many times because of his desire, his work-rate.”

Shackleton looked very good after coming on for Leeds, showed bundles of energy, and did not get fazed by the occasion.
According to WhoScored, the teenager took one shot, had a pass accuracy of 76.9%, made two tackles and one clearance, and played one key pass.
