Samuel Saiz is playing well for Leeds United this season.

The former Preston North End and Sunderland manager was impressed with the performance of Saiz against Nottingham Forest at Elland Road in the Championship on Monday afternoon.
The 26-year-old, who can operate as a forward or as an attacking midfielder, played well against the Reds, as the game ended in a goalless draw.

Grayson, who started his professional playing career at Leeds and managed the West Yorkshire outfit from 2008 until 2012, was impressed with the performance produced by Saiz, who joined the Whites from Spanish club Huesca in the summer of 2017.
“I think he was Leeds’s best player today and probably has been all season,” said Grayson about Saiz on Sky Sports Football on Monday evening (5:08pm, January 1, 2018) during the post-match coverage of the game between Leeds and Forest.
“I think he is loved by this crowd here because he makes things happen, he gets in little positions, he can run at you, he draws fouls off defenders. He gets away from people, then finds passes. Very clever player.”

Saiz has been arguably the best player for Leeds so far this season and is one of the best attack-minded footballers in the Championship.
The 26-year-old has scored five goals and provided five assists in 20 Championship starts for Leeds so far this campaign.
