Grayson has opted not to stay at Bradford City and Yorkshire rivals Barnsley could profit.

Simon Grayson has already been installed as Sky Bet’s favourite to be Barnsley’s next manager, within an hour of leaving Bradford City.
Grayson only replaced Stuart McCall at Valley Parade in February, despite having also been linked with the vacancy at Oakwell.
But just two days after the departure of Jose Morais – the man who filled the latter vacancy but failed to halt Barnsley’s slide into League One – the 48-year-old is again on the market.

In a statement published via Bradford’s official website on Tuesday, Grayson announced that he “decided to turn down the option to extend my contract”.
He may not be out of work for long though, having shot to the top of the Barnsley betting at 3/1.
Barnsley born Mick McCarthy (7/2), McCall and ex-Leeds United boss Uwe Rosler (both 8/1) are the other leading contenders with Sky Bet.
Grayson led Blackpool, Leeds, Huddersfield Town and Preston North End out of League One before disappointing spells at Sunderland and Bradford.
