Marcelo Bielsa and Leeds United will be looking to strengthen their squad during the January transfer window.
Simon Grayson believes Leeds United need ‘another goalkeeper’ and they need to replace the departed Samuel Saiz during the January transfer window.
The Championship leaders will be looking to add depth to their squad this month as they aim for promotion to the Premier League.
In November, Leeds announced on their official website that Chelsea loanee Jamal Blackman suffered a fractured tibia, which forced him to return back to his parent club.
Added with that, the following month the club announced that playmaker Saiz opted to join La Liga outfit Getafe on loan in January, with a view to making the move permanent in the summer.
As a result of that, former Whites boss Grayson identified the two positions Marcelo Bielsa must strengthen in January as the club aim to maintain their status at the top of the Championship.
“I think they will need another goalkeeper because Blackman has gone back to Chelsea injured,” Grayson told Sky Sports News on 07/01/2019 at 11:35 am.
“They have lost Saiz, who has gone to Spain, so I think there will need a couple of extra players.”
Leeds have lost three games on the bounce in all competitions, most recently their 2-1 defeat to Queens Park Rangers in the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon.
Prior to that, they had suffered back-to-back defeats in the Championship, with Hull City and Nottingham Forest inflicting damaging results on the Yorkshire outfit.
Now, Bielsa will be preparing his side for a tough encounter against Frank Lampard’s Derby County, who currently occupy the final playoff spot.
