Grayson could beat Sunderland to League One if one bookmaker’s odds are anything to go by.

Simon Grayson is 5/2 to become the new manager of Bury with bookmakers Sky Bet… barely a week after leaving Sunderland.
Grayson received his marching orders 17 minutes after Sunderland’s 3-3 home draw against the Championship’s then-bottom side, Bolton Wanderers.
The result left Sunderland in 22nd position, although they have since slipped to the foot of the table, with back-to-back relegations beckoning.
But Grayson could yet beat them to the third tier based on the bookies’ latest odds.
The 47-year-old is behind only Ryan Lowe on Sky Bet’s list of likely Bury appointments, after the sacking of another ex-Sunderland man, Lee Clark.

Player-coach Lowe has been in temporary charge of the Shakers, and is odds on [1/2] to take the role on a full-time basis.
Nevertheless, Grayson – if interested – would be a more desirable option, having been promoted from League One with four different clubs.
