Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers need a striker like Odsonne Edouard, Moussa Dembele or Leigh Griffiths, says Simon Donnelly.

Rangers have been quite busy in the summer transfer window so far, and have brought defender Connor Goldson and midfielder Scott Arfield among other players to Ibrox.
Former Celtic striker Donnelly has suggested that Liverpool legend Gerrard needs to sign a striker for Rangers.
The former Scotland international has also stated that if Rangers are able to sign a striker of the quality of Celtic stars Edouard, Dembele and Griffiths, then they would be delighted.

Donnelly told The Sunday Post about Gerrard signing a striker for Rangers in the summer transfer window: “A striker is a priority for him. An absolute must.
“They only really have Alfredo Morelos as a No. 9 – and even then there is talk of him moving on for five or six million.
“In order to give themselves a decent chance over a league programme of 38 games, Rangers need to find the very best proven goalscorer they can.”
“I suppose they are looking to try to add the kind of quality that Celtic have,” added Donnelly. “I’m sure if Rangers felt they could get a striker of the quality of a Dembele, Griffiths or Edouard, then they’d be delighted. But those guys are not easy to find. They don’t turn up on your doorstep every day.”

Need for a striker?
Alfredo Morelos is the first-choice striker at Rangers at the moment, and the Gers could do with another in the summer transfer window.
Morelos has a very good season on a personal level in 2017-18, although the Colombian’s form dipped in the second half, the Ibrox fans should have complete faith in him.
