Simon Donnelly worked with Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson at Dundee United.

Robertson has been on the books of Liverpool since the summer of 2017 when he moved from Hull City for an initial transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £8 million.
The 24-year-old left-back has established himself as a key figure in Jurgen Klopp’s side and is also a major player for the Scotland national football team.
The former Queen’s Park star’s performances in the Premier League and the Champions League have been hugely impressive.
Former Celtic and Scotland international midfielder Donnelly worked with Robertson at Dundee United when he was the Scottish club’s assistant manager.
Donnelly has spoken highly of Robertson, and believes that the left-back – who earns £50,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – can go further than Liverpool.

“I don’t see any reason why he can’t go further than Liverpool,” Donnelly told The Scottish Sun about Robertson. “That would just be the icing on the cake for his career.”
Donnelly added: “He is only 24 at the moment so there is plenty of improvement still to come. But it wouldn’t surprise me to see him move another level up.”
Future at Liverpool
Robertson is doing well at Liverpool, who themselves are on the rise and are challenging for the Premier League and the Champions League.
The 24-year-old left-back can only get better in the coming years working with Liverpool manager Klopp, and it is hard to see the Scotland international leaving the Merseyside outfit anytime soon.
