Callum McGregor is an important player for Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic
Simon Donnelly has revealed on social networking site Twitter that he wanted to sign Callum McGregor on loan from Celtic for Partick Thistle.
Donnelly played for Celtic from 1993 until 1999, and was on the books of Thistle from 2006 unit 2013.
The 43-year-old has revealed on Twitter that he wanted to bring McGregor to Thistle on loan from Celtic.
The former Scotland international has also praised McGregor on Twitter, and has described the 25-year-old central midfielder as an “intelligent player”.
Quality footballer
McGregor is one of the best central midfielders in the Scottish Premiership, and the Scotland international has taken his game to another level under manager Brendan Rodgers over the past two seasons.
The 25-year-old has established himself as a key figure for the Hoops, and he is one of the first names on the team sheet.
Just like last season, McGregor will be an important player for Celtic during the 2018-19 campaign, as the Glasgow giants will aim to win the domestic treble for the third season in a row and progress to the group stage of the Champions League.
