Tyrone Mings has told England’s Lions’ Den that Aston Villa and Wolves are ‘similar clubs’.
The Villa defender was explaining why he and Coady have formed this bromance away on England duty and shared how they have ‘similar interests’ and ‘personalties’.
Wolves and Villa may be Midlands rivals on the domestic circuit, but two of their key players, and rightly so, are getting on like a house on fire for England.
And whilst Mings’ comments on Wolves being ‘similar’ to those from B6 might upset some Villa fans because they are the bigger club, this is what he had to say about his bromance with his fellow centre-back.
“We are just very similar people, I think,” said Mings. “We have similar interests.
“Obviously, we play for similar clubs. Similar sort of personalties. And we just buzz of each other.
“When you are away from England, the training is tough. It’s very intense when we are working, so to have somebody you get along with and are really close to off the pitch is like a home from home.”
Both Mings and Coady will now be preparing for the biggest game of their careers as England lock horns with Italy in the Euro 2020 final.
Mings started the first two games of the tournament before being replaced by the returning Harry Maguire.
And whilst both might not feature in tonight’s final, anything can happen and anybody can get called upon at any time.
Either way, this will be a tournament that not many England fans, or these players, will forget.
