Everton lost 1-0 away at Burnley on Saturday afternoon.

Everton boss Marco Silva has told the Daily Mail that his players are going through a difficult moment, so wouldn’t criticise them for not acknowledging fans on Saturday.
The Toffees headed to Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon to take on Burnley, with Silva in desperate need of a win to ease the pressure on his job.
Silva went into the game with three league defeats in a row and four defeats in the last five league games, and a trip to Burnley seemed to be a difficult task.
Everton were managing to hold on for a point until Seamus Coleman was sent off, and Jeff Hendrick then struck the winner for Burnley in a 1-0 win for the Clarets.
That’s now two goals scored in the last four league games for Everton, who are really struggling under Silva, and the pressure is really mounting on the Portuguese boss.
Fans were unsurprisingly raging with Silva after the final whistle, but their ire wasn’t just saved for the Everton boss, as the players took a battering too.

Only around half of the Everton players were seen applauding and acknowledging the away fans, which left those travelling supporters a little frustrated.
After the game though, Silva was asked about the situation, and remained somewhat blunt as he reminded people that it’s a ‘difficult moment’ for Everton’s players, so he wouldn’t be too harsh on them for not acknowledging the fans.
“It is a difficult moment for them (the players) as well,” said Silva, but that may not wash with some Everton fans who will want a connection with players who appreciate them, even if results aren’t great.
