Tyreece John-Jules has posted a video of a finishing drill he is doing during his time off – and Ryan Sessegnon is among those to reply to the Arsenal talent. The Tottenham defender described his finishing as “silly”.
John-Jules, 21, endured a disappointing 2021-22 campaign. Just 12 appearances for Championship side Blackpool during the first half of the season saw his loan cancelled, and he moved to League One side Sheffield Wednesday.
But an injury after his debut, which lasted 18 minutes, ruled him out for the rest of the season. Now, John-Jules has returned to Arsenal and looks fit again – at least, judging by a video posted on his Instagram page.
The England Under-21 international posted a video of a finishing drill, curling some delightful shots in the top corner – while on holiday. Seemingly, reminding all what he is capable of.
Sessegnon reply to Arsenal talent John-Jules
It is quite an important summer for John-Jules. Failing to score in 12 outings for Blackpool, albeit laying on two assists, and then plagued by a quad injury at Wednesday, means he needs his next loan to be a good one.
He has bags of potential, proven by his two caps with England’s 21’s. Further proof comes from his 15 goals in 37 PL2 appearances. But he needs to do it at senior level. A loan to a League One club next term is needed.
A club that are likely to be beneath his quality, but a club and a league in which he can show his best. Tottenham star Sessegnon is clearly a fan despite the North London rivalry – saying his finishing is “silly”.
