Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering Youri Tielemans.

According to The Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur could move for Monaco midfielder Youri Tielemans before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Daniel Levy is understood to have sanctioned the move, which would most likely be a loan with a view to a £20million permanent deal.
Mauricio Pochettino will now have the final call on a deal according to the report, which would see Spurs hijack Leicester City’s interest in the Belgian talent.
Intriguingly, reports from the Daily Mail state that Pochettino has been offered midfielders in the past year, such as Jack Grealish, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Ross Barkley, only for the Argentinian to be unconvinced.
This time though, Tielemans is an opportunity that Pochettino shouldn’t pass up. Having allowed Mousa Dembele to move on to China, Spurs desperately need a midfielder, and Tielemans fits the Tottenham bill.
At just 21, Tielemans has his best years ahead of him, but already has huge experience having racked up 250 appearances for Anderlecht and Monaco.

From a skillset perspective, Tielemans may not be as strong, quick or dynamic as a prime Dembele, but he has outstanding technique, passing range and ability to score from distance.
Those attributes should make Tielemans a prime Spurs target, and a player with that ability and his potential is usually worth much, much more than £20million.
Long-term, pairing Tielemans with Harry Winks could be devastating for Spurs in the coming years, and whilst he may have shunned other midfielders in the past, Tielemans is the one that Pochettino should be looking to pull the trigger on.
