Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa is said to be considering making a move for Steven Caulker.

Leeds have tended to either buy proven Championship quality – in the form of Patrick Bamford and Barry Douglas – or they have moved for promising youngsters on loan.
Caulker, though, would not fit into either bracket and he would represent a different kind of transfer.
Caulker moved to Dundee to get his career back on track, after off the field difficulties, back in January and he has gone on to impress.
Leeds are now said to be considering making a £1.5 million move for the centre-back, and there is no doubting his addition would be a risk.
Caulker’s career has stalled in recent times, but if Marcelo Bielsa could coax the commanding defender back to his best he would be a wonderful addition.
At 26, Caulker still has time on his side, and he has the potential to make a £1.5 million price-tag look like the biggest bargain of the summer.

Caulker was once an England international and has a great deal of Premier League experience, having represented Tottenham Hotspur, Cardiff City and QPR.
Caulker would arguably be the Leeds’ highest calibre defender upon his arrival at Elland Road.
And with Bielsa still needing additions at the back, the signing of Caulker seems to have far more upside, than bringing a player like Matthew Pennington back to Elland Road.
