Newcastle United’s Jack Colback have been linked with a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers in recent weeks.

Colback has been linked with a switch to Wolves in recent times, but so far no move has materialised.
Newcastle had been looking to sell Colback permanently, but they are now realising this is a huge challenge.

Colback is on a sizeable salary at Newcastle, and it appears that none of the midfielder’s potential suitors are willing to match his current wages.
Newcastle could now be willing to pay a portion of Colback’s wages to get him off their books, and if Wolves can strike a deal like that, it would surely be tempting for Nuno’s side.

As a short term option Colback could be a useful addition for promotion chasing Wolves.
The midfielder is a quality player at Championship level, and on a loan move, which is partially subsidised, he could offer a great deal to Wolves over the second half of the campaign.
