Steve Bruce’s Aston Villa side have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid.

According to the Daily Mirror, Martin Odegaard has been offered to Aston Villa, and his arrival from Real Madrid could be the final piece of Steve Bruce’s side’s promotion jigsaw.

Villa are reportedly considering bringing in the supremely talented youngster to Villa Park for the season, and it would be a wonderful signing.

Odegaard would have the potential to take some of the creativity burden off Jack Grealish’s shoulders, and that could be crucial for Bruce.

At the moment, Villa’s opponents are quick to target Grealish, and often put two or three defenders on him to try and mark him out of the game.

Grealish is regularly kicked and fouled by opposition sides, who are keen to limit the amount of time he is given on the ball.

However, with Odegaard in the same team, opposition sides simply wouldn’t be able to double-up on both the playmakers.

That could allow both Grealish and Odegaard the space that they need to really thrive.

And bringing Odegaard to Villa Park, therefore, looks like it could be a brilliant move for Bruce’s men.
