Having established himself as a cult hero at Reading, Liam Moore would be a brilliant signing for Celtic.

Last summer Reading fought off serious interest from Leeds United to bring the 24-year-old to the Madejski Stadium and have reaped the rewards, with the former Leicester City defender establishing himself as one of the league’s best defenders over the course of 55 games for the club.

A natural leader, Moore has at times looked like the club’s captain ahead of defensive partner Paul McShane and his warrior-like attitude has endeared himself to the Reading fans.
With over 150 appearances in English football to his name, Moore has considerable experience for a 24-year-old and with his strength, aerial ability and impressive passing range, the former Brentford loanee would be an absolute coup for the Scottish giants.

With the Daily Record reporting a £5 million fee, it’s hard to see Reading allowing their star defender to leave for such a modest price, but should Celtic manage to prise Moore away from Berkshire, they’ll be getting an outstanding player for their money.
